Popular two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto has launched the new V commuter motorcycle with a price tag of Rs 62,076 (ex-showroom Karnataka). The company has also announced that the new V is available for bookings from March 10.
The V, Bajaj's new commuter motorcycle that was unveiled in India in February, has been made using metal from the dismantled INS Vikrant — India's first aircraft carrier. The company will start delivering the model from March 23 for the buyers who book the bike by March 20. The customers who place order for the V till March 20 will also be eligible to get a welcome kit from Bajaj. The welcome kit will include an official ownership certificate and a memorabilia key chain.
The Bajaj V, powered by a 149.5cc single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled DTS-i engine, can churn out maximum power of 11.8bhp at 7,500rpm and 13Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The V features speedometer cluster with a dual-colour LED, fuel-level indicator and an LED tail lamp. The V is available in two colours: Ebony Black and Pearl White.
The motorcycle measures 2,044mm in length, 780mm in width and 1,070mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,315mm. The new bike comes with a ground clearance of 165mm and kerb weight of 135.5 kg.
