Popular two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto is reportedly working on a new Pulsar model for the Indian market to replace its current Pulsar 180.
If the report in MotorBeam is anything to go by, Bajaj Auto will be launching a new Pulsar 180 in India this year, dubbed Pulsar 180NS.
Like its other naked sport bikes, Pulsar 180NS will also reportedly borrow design cues from Pulsar 200NS and come equipped with split seats, new alloy wheels and new digital-analogue instrument cluster.
As for engines, Pulsar 180NS will draw power from the same 178.6cc single-cylinder DTS-i engine, may be with minor tweak, for better power output. The current engine of Pulsar 180 has the capacity to churn out 17.2 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike is rumoured to get telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear.
Other details about the upcoming Pulsar 180NS are scanty at this point of time.
Pulsar 180NS could be the fifth Pulsar model from the house of Bajaj to hit Indian roads this year.
The company has already launched Pulsar RS 200, Pulsar AS 200 and AS 150 models in the country and is expected to roll out 150 NS in the coming days. Available in two variants, Pulsar RS 200 ABS and Non-ABS are priced at ₹1 lakh, ₹3 lakh and ₹1.18 lakh, respectively (Ex-showroom Delhi).
On the other hand, Pulsar AS150 and AS200 are priced at ₹79,000 and ₹ 91,550 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
