Bajaj Auto is all set to launch its flagship motorcycle, Puslar VS400, towards the end of this festive season. Emerging reports indicate that the motorcycle will be launched in two variants.
According to MotorOctane, the basic version of Pulsar VS400 will develop 34bhp, while the high-end version will belt out 43bhp and 35Nm of torque. Both the variants will be powered by a 373.27cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark, fuel-injected mill mated to six-speed transmission. The report also says that the top-spec version will also boast of ABS and slipper clutch as standard.
Bajaj Pulsar VS400 had debuted as Pulsar CS400 concept at Auto Expo 2014. One of the most-awaited and desired models of 2016, the VS in the name stands for Vantage Sport.
The motorcycle has been seen several times during its test runs across India. The latest one to be captured was at Ladakh, where the bike was seen posing for the camera for a television commercial.
It is commendable that the final version of Pulsar VS400 does justice to the concept. The power cruiser will get twin instrument console — one on the handlebar as seen in other bikes and the other on the fuel tank and wide tyres. It will get an all-black exhaust, newly-designed split seats, disc brakes for both wheels, and alloy wheels with a new look.
Pulsar VS400 is expected to cost in the range of Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
