The highly-anticipated Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is set to embark on a new journey in India .The latest buzz on the Internet suggests that the dealers of the company have started receiving the first lot of the model, ahead of its launch in the country.
A new report on IndianAutosBlog claims that the dealers of Bajaj in Kolkata have received the Pulsar Rs 200.The unofficial bookings for the new avatar of Pulsar are also underway, with advance payment of Rs 5,000 and a promise to deliver starting April end.
According to another report by Autocar Professional that cited sources close to the development, the Pune-based motorcycle maker is readying an inventory of 25,000 to 30,000 units of Pulsar RS 200 before its launch in the country to meet the anticipated high demand for the model.
Likely to be priced at around Rs 1.5 lakh, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, a fully faired avatar of Pulsar 200NS is expected to break the cover finally on 26 March. The company has already started previewing the model on its website in the country with a teaser video and the new 200cc pulsar has been taglined as 'Fastest Pulsar Yet'.
Speaking of the Pulsar Rs 200 engine, the mode is expected to get 199.5 cc single-cylinder 4-valve liquid-cooled engine, which can pump out 24.4 PS at 9,500 rpm and 18.6 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm and is likely to come couple op a 6-speed gearbox. In India, the new Pulsar will be squared off against Hero Karizma R, Yamaha YZF-R15 and KTM RC200 and will get aggressive styling with crystal LED tail lamps and twin projector headlamps.
