It appears like Bajaj Auto's Pulsar RS 200 has become an instant hit in the Indian market, with the model clocking a booking figure of 3,500 within a month of its launch.
The Pune-based bike maker launched its fastest Pulsar - the Pulsar RS 200 - in India on 26 March and has seen an overwhelming response from buyers, with approximately 1,000 bookings within seven days of launch. Now the latest report of Indian autos Blog reads that the bookings have crossed 3,500. Bajaj Auto did not disclose the booking details for Pulsar RS 200 ABS and Non-ABS separately.
From what we know, even as the demand for the new RS 200 rises, the company is trying to keep the waiting period to the minimum. Earlier, when we spoke to the dealers of Bajaj Auto in Bengaluru, they had said that the current waiting period of the Pulsar Rs 200 is two weeks and can go up to a maximum of three weeks.
The Pulsar RS 200 can be booked with a down payment of ₹5,000 and the model is available in two colours - red and yellow. Available in two variants, Pulsar RS 200 ABS and Non-ABS are priced at ₹1, 3lakh and ₹1.18 lakh respectively (Ex-showroom Delhi).
Pulsar RS 200 is powered by 199.5cc single cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC 4valve, liquid cooled engine, which is tuned to churn out 24.5 ps of power @ 9750 rpm and 18.6nm of torque @ 8000 rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
