Bajaj Pulsar CS400 that made a debut as a concept is one of the most anticipated motorcycles to be launched in India this year. The launch of the most powerful Pulsar variant is rumoured to take place this month. According to latest information on Pulsar CS400 concept, the motorcycle will be called Pulsar VS400 in its production avatar.
The leaked images of the brochure of the motorcycle, posted by Maxabout, show the VS400 moniker at the fairing. The reason for the change in name is not known. Leaked information also sheds light on the specifications of the motorcycle. Bajaj Pulsar CS400 will be powered by a 373.27cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark engine that develops 34.5bhp at 8,000rpm. The gross vehicle weight of the motorcycle has been rated 332kg. The motorcycle in the pictures carries a dark blue and black theme.
The Pulsar CS400 has been photographed while it was being tested under camouflage many times this year. The spy shots and brochure images indicate there are no major changes in production specifications over the concept in terms of design. The power cruiser will get twin instrument console — one on the handlebar as seen in other bikes and the other on the fuel tank and wide tyres. It will get an all-black exhaust, newly-designed split seats, disc brakes for both wheels and alloy wheels with a new look.
The motorcycle will be offered with ABS. It is not yet known whether it will be offered as standard or as optional. Bajaj's flagship motorcycle is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
