The Pune-based two-wheeler maker Bajaj seems to be leaving no stone unturned in its attempt to roll out a perfect 400cc power cruiser. Bajaj has been perfecting the upcoming Pulsar CS400 by putting it through rigorous testing in different terrains in India for quite some time now.
The wait for the highly-anticipated 400cc Pulsar offering from the house of Bajaj is expected to end soon. The Pulsar CS400 is expected to hit the market during the July-September period. Motor enthusiasts in the country have been eyeing this stylish Pulsar CS400 since it was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2014. Now after two years, the Pulsar CS400 finally seems to be ready for the launch.
The Pulsar CS400 has already been caught on camera several times. Bike lovers have also seen videos of the Pulsar CS400 comfortably racing ahead of Yamaha R15 and KTM Duke 200. Now yet another video of the upcoming Pulsar, speeding through Mumbai-Pune Expressway, gives a peek at the machine. The video has been shared by a YouTube user named The ThrottleTwisters.
Though the body of the test mule spotted is seen carefully camouflaged, we have known for some time that the Pulsar CS400 will get all-black exhaust and a newly-designed split seat. The production version of the model is expected to stay close to the concept model.
Other features expected include disc brakes for both the front and the rear. It is likely to feature LED headlamps, digital instrument panel and LED taillight. The Pulsar CS400 is also expected to get twin instrument console — one on the handlebar as seen in other bikes and the other on the fuel tank and wide tyres.
Powering the upcoming Pulsar CS400 is likely to be a 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark engine mated to six-speed transmission with fuel injection. It is expected to be to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
