Bajaj Auto has reportedly discontinued sales of Pulsar AS200 in India. The adventure version of the Pulsar was launched in April 2015.
According to Thruztzone, dealers of Bajaj Auto have stopped accepting booking for Pulsar AS200. The company is yet to confirm any such development.
Priced at Rs 94,780, ex-showroom Delhi, Pulsar AS200 is powered by 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which can churn out 23bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm, coupled to six-speed transmission.
Built around the perimeter frame, Pulsar AS200 measures 2,070 mm in length, 804 mm in width, 1,205 mm in height, and comes seated on a wheelbase of 1,363 mm. As for features, Pulsar AS 200 has aerodynamic half-fairing, muscular tank, extended windscreen, and projector headlamp in its list.
Similarly, Bajaj Auto had restricted the supply of Pulsar 200NS from mid-2015 to make way for Pulsar AS200 and Pulsar RS200. The naked street version of Pulsar has been rumoured for a re-launch with fuel injected engine. But there is no action from Bajaj on that yet.
Meanwhile, rumours indicate that Bajaj is getting ready to launch its Pulsar NS150 in India. Already on sale in some South American markets, Pulsar NS150 is powered by 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine - which can dish out power of 16.3bhp of power at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 13Nm at 7,500rpm with 5-speed gearbox - Pulsar 150NS will be pitted against Suzuki Gixxer and Hero Xtreme.
