A lot has been said about leading bike maker Bajaj's Pulsar 200SS bike. The general consensus seems to have been that the full-faired version of 200NS will reach Indian showrooms in early 2015, with March touted as the probable launch date. Now, lending credence to the discussions is a new image of the much-awaited Pulsar 200SS that has hit the web with the bike ensconced at a dealership in India.
The latest spy shot of Pulsar 200SS came from Motoroids via a social networking site and it shows a fleet of the new hot Pulsar 200SS parked at the Bajaj dealership. The most intriguing part of the picture is that the bike is seen with saree guard. The two wheelers lovers know that in India one of the accessories that are compulsory on bikes is the Saree guard. (Saree guard helps to prevent sarees and dupattas from getting tangled in the rear wheel).
The bike is not different from what bike enthusiasts have already been privy to stemming from numerous spy shots of a fully faired avatar of Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, in both its disguised and undisguised avatar. For the uninitiated, Pulsar 200SS is likely to get power from the same engine of its sibling 200NS. The current engine of 200NS has the capacity to churn out 23.52PS of power @9,500rpm and 18.3Nm of torque @8,000rpm. The engine is likely to come mated to a 6-speed gearbox. There have also been reports that Pulsar 200SS could also get fuel injection technology and ABS ring.
Speaking of the pricing, Pulsar 200SS is likely to get a price tag around ₹1.5 lakh and when launched, the bike will take on the likes of Hero Karizma R, Yamaha YZF-R15 and KTM RC200 in India.
