Finally, it looks like Bajaj is ready to take the wraps off its highly anticipated motorbike Pulsar 200SS in India. The images of the production version of the Pulsar 200 SS has been emerged on the web, giving us the first look of the finished design and styling of new Pulsar. Indeed, the best look of the bike we got in the recent past.
In the latest images, Bajaj Pulsar 200SS is seen virtually undisguised in what appears to be during an exclusive event. Thanks to the Facebook user Rakesh Gowda for the latest spy shots. Looking at the banner seen in the picture, we assume the picture was taken outside the country.
Now talking of the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, the bike is expected to get power from the same 199.5cc, 4-stroke, SOHC, liquid-cooled, single cylinder petrol engine, which is tuned to churn out 23.52ps of power @ 9,500rpm and 18.3nm of torque @8,000rpm.
We also hear that Bajaj could offer the new Pulsar with fuel injection and if this rings true, there would be a change in the power output mentioned above.
Expect the bike also to accommodate mono-shock suspension at the rear and telescopic forks at the front. Apparently, there is also optional Antilock Braking System (ABS) on the menu.
Judging from the images, Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, the fully-faired version of the company's Pulsar 200NS resembles Bajaj SS 400 concept which was shown at Delhi Auto Expo. The twin projector headlamps and LED daytime running lamps gives the Pulsar 200SS a different look.
Previous reports have indicated that the production of Pulsar 200SS has begun in the country. When launched in India, Bajaj Pulsar 200SS will rival Hero Karizma R, Yamaha YZF-R15 and KTM RC200 and from what we have heard so far, the bike is likely to be priced around ₹1.2 lakh.
