Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS Reaches Dealerships, Launch Imminent; What We Know So Far [PHOTOS]

Bajaj is leaving no stone unturned in its attempt to tap new volumes in the Indian market. After successfully launching its new Pulsar RS 200 bike in the domestic market last week, Bajaj is now ready to roll out its next offering in the country.

If the recent reports on the web are to be believed, Bajaj has started shipping its soon-to-be-launched Pulsar 200 AS  to its dealerships in the country. A fresh batch of spy shots of Bajaj's new Adventure Sports bike Pulsar 200 AS has hit the web, consolidating our belief that the model is inching closer to its launch in the country.

Although the company has managed to remain tight-lipped about the launch date of the new Pulsar 200 AS, rumours swirling on the web have indicated a launch in the month of April.

Latest Pulsar 200 AS images, which are believed to be taken at a dealership in the country by Bikes India, show the model in its undisguised avatar.

Pulsar 200 AS, a semi-faired version of 200 NS is expected to sit between Pulsar 200 NS and the new RS 200 and is likely to pack the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine of 200 NS, which is tuned to churn out 23bhp of power and 18.3Nm of peak torque, coupled to six-speed transmission.

Expected to be priced at sub ₹1 lakh bracket, the Adventurous Pulsar model is understood to be a possible replacement of ageing Pulsar 220F. The features expected include new alloy wheels, projector headlight and bigger windshield.
