While we anticipate the launch of Bajaj Pulsar CS400 in June, there is one more reason for biking enthusiast to rejoice. According to some recent reports, Bajaj will launch the Pulsar RS400 as the flagship of the Pulsar range in the festive season this year.
A report in Zigwheels says Bajaj Auto has confirmed the launch of the Pulsar RS400. The motorcycle will be powered by the 375cc unit borrowed from KTM RC390. The engine will be tuned to slightly different for the Pulsar RS400 and is expected to develop 40bhp and 30Nm of torque mated to six-speed transmission. The Pulsar RS400 will be the second motorcycle from Bajaj's stable using this engine; first being the Pulsar CS400. The engine is expected to get triple spark technology patented by Bajaj.
In terms of design, the Pulsar RS400 will be identical to the younger sibling Pulsar RS200. The aggressive front that features projector head lamps and oddly placed rear LED tail lamps is expected to carry over in the Pulsar RS400. There will be exclusive colours and details that would differentiate both the Pulsar RS models.
The motorcycle will come with perimeter frame and suspension duties will be done by telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear. Both wheels will get disc brakes while ABS is also expected as standard. Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.6 lakh to Rs. 1.7 lakh, ex-showroom.
