Earlier last week we reported that the dealerships of Bajaj started receiving Discover bike 150 S in the country. Now a new image surfaced online reveals that the semi faired version of Discover 150 motorbike has also made its way to the showrooms of the company, hinting at an imminent launch of the bike in the domestic market.
Dubbed Discover 150 F, the semi-faired version of Bajaj's commuter motorcycle is likely to hit the market early next month along with Bajaj's Discover 150 S. Much has been said about this premium commuter bike. It has been on the road for testing quite some time now. The bike has now been snapped at a dealership by folks at BikeAdvice. From the images, the bike looks interesting and is likely to get features like MRF Nylogrip Zapper tyres, disc brakes, monoshock suspension at the rear and both electric and kick starters. The power is likely to come from the four-valve, 150cc DTS-i engine with a power of 14 PS and come mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Once it hits the market, Bajaj's latest offering in the Discover lineup will be pegged against the Honda CB Unicorn and Yamaha SZ Series in India. We do not know the price of this bike yet for sure, however, going by the rumours, the bike is likely to fall in the price range of ₹55,000 – 65,000 (ex-showroom).
Meanwhile, the reports suggest that the dealers of the Bajaj have commenced the booking for its Discover 150 S in the country with an advance payment varying from ₹500 to ₹1,000. Bajaj Discover 150 S will reach the market in two variants - one with regular drum brakes and the second one with front disc brake.
Besides Discover series, Bajaj is also expected to launch Pulsar 150NS and Pulsar 200SS in India this year. Bajaj Pulsar 200SS has been on test in the country for quite some time now. The upcoming Pulsar 200SS, the fully faired version of Pulsar 200NS is expected to pack the retuned version of four-stroke, SOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine of 200NS. It is powered by an engine, which has an output of 23.65 bhp and a torque of 18.3 Nm.
Bajaj's Pulsar 150NS, the smaller sibling of Pulsar 200NS was also caught on test in India. Bajaj Pulsar 150NS is speculated to get features like aluminium number plate holder and a split grab rail along with 100/90 cross section rear tyre and single seat.
