If recent reports hold true, popular two-wheeler maker Bajaj has silently reintroduced its once discontinued commuter motorcycle CT 100 in India with a few cosmetic changes.
A recent report of IndianAutos Blog claims that 2015 CT 100 has been relaunched in India with a price tag of Rs 35,801 (ex-showroom). The report also said that the dealerships of the company have started receiving the new model and deliveries are likely to commence immediately.
Powered by the same single-cylinder, four-stroke 99.27 cc engine which can pump out 8.2 hp and 8.05 Nm of torque, the new CT 100 said to have received cosmetic changes like new graphics and alloy wheels.
Bajaj, which is planning to expand its foothold in the domestic market is also expected to launch its Pulsar 200SS, the fully-faired version of 200NS and Pulsar CS400 in India this year.
Pulsar 200SS is likely to be powered by 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, triple-spark engine of its 200NS. The current engine of 200NS has the capacity to churn out 23.52PS of power at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. The engine is likely to come mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the stopping power is likely to come from 280mm and 230mm disc brakes.
On the other hand, Pulsar 400CS, (Cruiser Sport 400) will get power from 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple spark engine and comes mated to a six-speed transmission with fuel injection.
