If the latest reports on the web are anything to go by, Pune- based two wheeler maker Bajaj is reportedly ready to roll out the smaller 150cc version of its cruiser avenger in the country this October.
A report of Auto Car India reveals that Bajaj's Avenger 150cc could make its way to Avenger cruiser family in October. Not much is known about the other details like engine and features of the Avenger 150, but Motoroids reports that the 150cc engine of new Avenger could be borrowed from Bajaj Pulsar 150, which is 149cc 4-stroke, DTS-i, air cooled, single cylinder mill.
The engine, which has the capacity to develop 14.8bhp of power and 12.5Nm of torque, is likely to churn out the same in new Avenger as well.
Bajaj is also expected to expand its Avenger cruiser portfolio in India with the launch of Avenger Street and Avenger 220 Cruise.
Likely to be powered by the same 220cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine of the current one in the market, Bajaj's new cruisers are also expected to hit the showrooms during the festive season of this year.
It was reported earlier that the launch of new Avenger Street and Avenger 220 Cruise is likely to fall in the month of November and Bajaj dealers would open the bookings around the same time.
