Bajaj Auto India has discontinued some of the Discover models from its commuter segment. The discontinued models are - Discover 100, Discover 100M and Discover 125M - reports Shifting-gears.com. The company website has removed the models from its product list.

The report also indicates that a few units of the motorcycle are still available with certain dealers. The discontinuation of the motorcycle is reportedly to restructure the Discover brand to be a premium commuter, starting from 125cc. The new Discover family includes Discover 125, Discover 150S and Discover 150F.

Bajaj Auto recently re-introduced the CT 100 in the 100cc commuter segment. The company already has Platina 100 ES in the segment. Both these motorcycles will be 100cc offering from Bajaj Auto to replace the discontinued Discover models.

The Bajaj Discover 100 and 100M were powered by 94.38cc single-cylinder engine that develops 7.6bhp at 7500rpm and 7.85Nm of torque at 5000rpm mated to four-speed transmission. The Discover 125M was powered by 124.6cc single-cylinder engine that develops 11.3bhp at 8000rpm and 10.8Nm at 6000rpm mated four-speed transmission.

The Discover 100 and 100M were priced at Rs 48,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively, ex-showroom Delhi. The Discover 125M range was priced between Rs 52,000 and Rs 55,000, ex-showroom, Delhi.
