The makers of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Bairavaa have reportedly sold the audio rights of the movie to a leading South Indian company. Lahari Music, which owns the audio rights of over 100 Kollywood movies, has reportedly signed the deal recently.

The buzz is that the deal was signed for an undisclosed, but high price. There were many audio companies in the race, and at the end Lahari Music was successful in acquiring the audio rights of the Vijay-starrer, say reports.

Lahari Music has many popular films to its credit, including Mani Ratnam's classics like Roja and Thalapathi. Of  late, the company has set its eyes on South Indian biggies and procured the rights of films like Baahubali, Janatha Garage etc. In Tamil, the rights of Idhu Namma Aalu and Thodari were sold to the leading company.

Coming to Vijay's films, the audio rights of his last five movies were acquired by Think Music (Theri), Sony Music (Puli and Thalaivaa), Eros Music (Kaththi) and Star Music (Jilla).

Bairavaa has the music of Santhosh Narayanan, who has churned out a lot of hit songs in the recent years. Hence, expectations are riding high on this album. The audio was supposed to be released on December 10. But it was postponed following the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa.

Now, MS Sharavanan of Sri Green Productions, which has acquired the theatrical rights of Bairavaa, has said that the audio is most likely to be out on December 20. But the makers are yet to formally confirm the news.

Bairavaa is written and directed by Bharathan and produced by Vijaya Productions. The movie, which has Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu and others in the cast, will release on January 12.
