The makers of blockbuster "Bahubali-The Beginning" (also spelled "Baahubali") are set to celebrate the first anniversary of the magnum-opus project by re-releasing the Malayalam version of the film in Kerala. A source close to the production and distribution house Global United Media has told International Business Times, India that the SS Rajamouli movie will be released during the first week of July.
The big-budget movie, starring Prabhas, Tammannah, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati in main roles, has become the highest grossing Indian movie of the year. "Bahubali," which was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages, even bagged the 63rd National Film Awards under the categories Best Feature Film and Best Special Effects, apart from numerous accolades. "Bahubali" also has Sathyaraj, Nassar, Ramya Krishnan, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep in significant roles.
The movie was opened to tremendous response from the audience upon its release in 4,000 screens worldwide on 10 July 2015. Meanwhile, the Chinese version of the blockbuster will be released by E Stars in as many as 6,000 cinema halls across China on July 22.
The makers of the epic historical fiction are currently busy with the shooting of its second part "Baahubali-The Conclusion." The sequel movie is also expected to make good collection at the worldwide box offices upon its release in 2017.
