SS Rajamouli's much-hyped "Bahubali 2" or "Baahubali: The Conclusion" will release April 14, 2017. Now, the makers of Ajith Kumar's next movie, which is presently referred to as "Thala 57," seem to have set their eyes on the same date for the release.
A report on IndiaGlitz claims that "Thala 57" will be out for Tamil New Year in 2017. If this turns out to be true, the audience will witness the biggest battle at the South Indian box office next summer. The shooting of the movie will begin in June but the muhurat of the flick will be held May 1 to coincide with the birthday of Ajith.
On the other hand, the makers of "Bahubali 2" zeroed in on the date long ago. They are unlikely to change their plans unless the film gets delayed in the post-production stages. However, it is also being said that the makers of "Thala 57" might reschedule their release plans once the shooting is started as releasing the film alongside SS Rajamouli's film is not a good idea, keeping its financial interests in mind.
"Thala 57" is written and directed by Siruthai Siva, who had earlier directed Ajith in hit films like "Veeram" and "Vedalam." The makers are yet to announce the female lead, even though there are reports that Kajal Aggarwal and Kriti Sanon have been signed.
It is reported that Anirudh Ravichander and Vetri have been roped in to compose music and handle the cinematography department, respectively. The upcoming movie is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.
"Bahubali 2" stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah in the lead roles. It is a historical film, which has MM Keeravani's music, KK Senthil Kumar's cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao's editing.
SS Rajamouli-directorial will simultaneously release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
