Bahubali 2 features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Anushka Shetty in pivotal roles. They play the same characters that they portrayed in the previous instalment. And once again, their performances have won hearts.
Critics have praised the actors' work and appreciated the cinematography, which was phenomenal in Bahubali The Beginning as well. They said that Prabhas and Anushka as Baahubali and Devasena are the highlight of the film as the story revolves around the two of them.
Bahubali 2 has brilliant production elements and music, picturisation, VFX, action, dialogue, art direction and costume designs are the attractions on the technical front, say critics.
Take a look at some of the critics' reviews of Bahubali 2:
Hemanth Kumar of Firstpost said: "Truth be told, it's hard to translate the experience of watching Baahubali: The Conclusion into words. We could talk about everything that we loved and didn't like about the film in great detail, but still not come close to the effect film has on us. The film makes us want to be part of its world. Period!"
Hari Acharya of The Indian Express said: "After the stupendous fare that we saw in Baahubali 1, the film's special effects come as a let-down of sorts. The fight or action sequences have Singham written all over them and the much-hyped climax has an over-the-top quality to it."
Sreeju Sudhakaran of Bollywood Life said: "Baahubali 2 is an experience that should be enjoyed on the big screen. While the movie is overall good in most of departments, we do wish Rajamouli could have given the movie a befitting conclusion. Still, I would recommend the movie for Prabhas and Anushka Shetty's powerful performances and it's epic grandeur."
Dipanjan Sinha of Hindustan Times said: "The film is even more ambitious than its prequel. The imaginary kingdom of Mahishmati now comes across as richer and more fantastic. There is a lot more in this fairytale world: a new city where Baahubali meets his future wife, splendid views of a moonlit war that takes place there, eagles carrying messages and Disneyesque palatial ships that fly. There is an anthem for Mahishmati too."
