Ace director SS Rajamouli's team has kick-started the shooting of the climax portions of "Bahubali 2" (Baahubali: The Conclusion) at Ramoji Film City (RFC) in Hyderabad on May 23.
The members of the "Bahubali" team had taken a month-long break and they returned to specially-erected sets at the RFC in the city on Monday. The bosses of the movie have confirmed the news on its official Twitter handle. They tweeted on May 23: "Planning the climax shoot.. Summer break is over.. its time to get back to work! #Baahubali2."
The film unit completed 40 percent shooting of "Bahubali: The Conclusion" before the release of "Bahubali: The Beginning." The team started the shooting for the rest of the film at the RFC on Dec. 17, 2015, and Prabhas and Ramya Krishna took part in the filming along with other members.
Before taking a break from its production, the Bahubali team shot some action sequences under the supervision of Hollywood stunt master Lee Whittaker. They used 10 industrial cranes for filming these scenes. The team had a tough time working under the hot summer sun and the producer reportedly made arrangements to keep the cast and crew under cool.
The team completed another 20 percent of the shooting for "Bahubali: The Conclusion" before taking a break from its production in April. It was rumoured that the rise in temperature above 45 degrees Celsius became an unexpected hurdle for the production of the film, forcing the producers to suspend its filming for some days.
However, producer Shobu Yarlagadda, who took to his Twitter handle on April 17 to clear the air, slammed the reports, saying that the break was very much a part of their plan. He tweeted, ".@BaahubaliMovie has shooting break in May n it was planned much earlier. Post prod. training n set work will continue for June schedule."
"Bahubali: The Conclusion," the second instalment in the "Bahubali" series, features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia and many others who starred in the prequel. The movie is scheduled to be released in theatres around the world on April 14, 2017.
