SS Rajamouli's Bahubali 2 (Baahubali-The Conclusion) continued its overwhelming run at the Indian box office with its gross collection crossing Rs 250 crore on Saturday.
The movie has had a record breaking opening day business at the box office, with its gross collection reaching Rs 152 crore (including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malyalam) at the domestic market on Friday.
Bahubali 2 maintained its extremely strong hold at the box office on its second day as well, making a gross collection of over Rs 100 crore on its day 2. Prabhas-starrer Bahubali 2 witnessed a dip in its collection on Saturday as compared to Friday for obvious reasons. The opening day earning of Rs 152.60 crore includes extra shows and premiere shows, which were not available on its day 2.
Nonetheless, the movie dominated the Indian box office with outstanding collection of over Rs 100 crore on the second day. Bahubali 2 collected Rs 105 crore gross (approximately) at the domestic market on Saturday, including all the four languages.
Rajamouli-directorial collected Rs 35 crore from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Rs 10 crore from Karnataka, Rs 8 crore from Tamil Nadu, Rs 4 crore from Kerala and Rs 48 crore from rest of India.
With Rs 152.60 crore on Friday and Rs 105 crore on second day, Bahubali 2 has taken its gross Indian box office collection to over Rs 250 crore in just 2 days. Despite being a non-holiday release, Bahubali 2 has broken all previous opening box office records of all time.
The film's advance ticket booking had witnessed tremendous response as majority of the theatres remained housefull on the first day. Advance tickets sold like hot cakes, and the result is visible in the numbers.
