A Bahrain F-16 jet crashed in Saudi Arabia close to the border with Yemen on Wednesday. The pilot of the Bahraini jet survived the crash which took place in the Jazan province, as per reports.
The aircraft crashed after it developed a technical fault, according to a military statement published by the Saudi Press Agency.
Bahrain is part of a Saudi-led coalition conducting airstrikes against Shiite Houthi militants in Yemen who attempted to overthrow the government in Sanaa earlier this year.
On Tuesday, the Bahraini military had said that three of its soldiers had been killed at Saudi Arabia's southern border.
