The 67th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) was announced on Sunday, with "Gravity" and Steve McQueen's "12 Years A Salve" being the dominant scorers of the prestigious awards.
Sandra Bullock starring sci-fi thriller "Gravity" led the honours taking home six awards, including the Best Director for Alfonso Curon, Best British Film, Visual effects, Sounds from 11 of its nominations. However, the slave narrative "12 Years a Slave" defied 'Gravity" in winning, top honours with Best Film and Best Actor for Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Cate Blanchett picked the Best Actress for "Blue Jasmine" while Best Supporting actress went to the current favourite Jennifer Lawrence for "American Hustle."
