Sriram Raghavan directorial "Badlapur", starring Varun Dhawan has released its trailer on 1 December.
Dhawan in the teaser is seen as a middle-aged man, who wishes to forgive his enemy, but only after torturing him till he breathes his last.
The actor has transformed himself from the conventional romantic hero to a tough, fierce-looking man with a mission in mind.
Dhawan's never-seen-before character looks convincing and it seems that the "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" actor has gone into the skin of the character, Raghu, as he goes through a lot of anguish and is thirsty of revenge from his enemy.
Going by the one-minute-40-second trailer, the thriller looks promising with some hardcore action sequences that will leave the audience at the edge of their seat. The promo gives a hint that the plot of the film is dark and has a lot of revenge and drama. Further, Dhawan's intense look will surely leave a powerful impact on the viewers as well as his fans.
Apart from Dhawan, the action thriller also features Vinay Pathak, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi, Divya Dutt and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Sachin-Jigar duo.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla, "Badlapur" is slated to release worldwide on 20 February next year.
The trailer of "Badlapur" has received good responses from the viewers and within just two days has already garnered around 0.7 million views in YouTube.
