In an effort to vow tourists to the south kashmiris kulgam district the tourism dept is developing a new chinar park there. The department took a waste land of some 22 kanals and has constructed a fully landscaped park there. A whopping 2 crore has already been spent on the park and rupees 50 lakh are planned to be spend more on this park. The main aim according to the department is to give a resting place for the locals as well as the tourists travelling from that side.
People of village jangad and bhowani are facing problems due to non existence of government offices in their area. They have to go to district headquarter rajouri for every work so they are demanding from the government to give tehsil status to their villages.

The road between udhampur to pakhali is in worst condition and local of the said areas face many problems due to the worst condition of the pakhali road as a part of about 17 km of road from jakhani to pakhali are have path holes filled with dirty water .
