The patients of Kashmir valley get special treatment under one roof at Kashmir nursing home Srinagar. For the benefit of people in the valley, the government of Jammu and Kashmir have started evening clinics where the super specialist doctors of the valley are treating patients. People have appreciated the government's step taken for the welfare of people. Everyday thousands of pilgrims arrive at the Katra bus stand on their way to the Vaishno Devi shrine. The moment pilgrims step out of their vehicles, they are greeted with heaps of garbage, stink, overflowing drains and potholed roads at the bus stand. The maintenance of roads has been a sector where the state government has failed in total. Like the other roads, the Anantnag to Kokernag road, some 18 kms, was taken up by the Beacon for widening and maintenance. However, the locals are facing a lot of hardships while commuting on this road, since the work of maintenance is not yet finished.
