Season 12 of "The Bachelorette," which saw JoJo Fletcher on a pursuit to find her Mr. Right, ended on Monday night in a three-hour special episode that saw the Dallas girl finally choosing Jordan Rodgers as her soulmate. Jodan has been a frontrunner ever since he stepped out of the limo in episode 1, and the season ended with Jordan popping the question to JoJo.
"I had this immediate sense of comfort with him," Fletcher told People about her fiancé. "From that first initial interaction, I knew I could fall in love with Jordan."
"On those final days, I thought about who I couldn't imagine saying goodbye to," she said. "It was always Jordan. And that's how I knew."
But it wasn't an easy journey for the duo. All through the season, Jordan has been plagued by rumours that he hasn't been faithful in his past relationships and that he was on the show to further his career.
The After the Final Rose special saw the duo sitting down for a detailed interview with host Chris Harrison , the duo admitted that the rumours surrounding their relationship did cause a strain between them initially. But they have worked through this, and are in a much better place now. JoJo and Jordan also revealed that they are hoping to get married sometime next year.
"We have a house in Dallas — we're moving in right after this," Jordan told Harrison.
If everything goes as planned, then 2017 would witness two Bachelor Nation wedding. JoJo's former love interest Ben Higgins, who was the star of the previous season of "The Bachelor," and his fiancée Lauren Bushnell are also planning to get hitched sometime next year.
Ben and Lauren were in the audience during the After the Final Rose special, and he encouraged the new couple to stay strong and ignore negative rumors.
