Vancouver native Kaitlyn Bristowe came on ABC's dating reality show "The Bachelor" to find love, but she left disappointed and heartbroken after being eliminated in week nine of the reality dating show featuring Chris Soules.
But if a new report is to be believed, the sadness she felt at being eliminated was just a farce to fool audience, as the 29-year-old reportedly came on the show just to get famous.
While "The Bachelor" fans saw Bristowe as someone who was trying to win Soules' heart, a new Star report claims that finding a husband was the last thing on the dance instructor's mind.
Bristowe has been dating firefighter Trevor Partlo for the last year, and after being eliminated she came right back to her boyfriend, claims Star, according to OK! Magazine.
"The whole thing was a joke – I only saw Chris, like, nine times," she reportedly told Partlo shortly after the elimination.
"She loves being in the spotlight, and Trevor knows it," a friend told Star. "When she signed on to The Bachelor, Trevor told me, 'She's just doing it to get famous. It doesn't mean anything. She'll come back, and it'll be life as normal.'"
The source also added that finding a husband would not be her top priority during her stint on "The Bachelorette." "I have no doubt that actually finding a husband on The Bachelorette will be the last thing on her mind," the insider said.
The upcoming season of ABC's dating reality show will see Bristowe as well as Britt Nilsson competing to claim the "Bachelorette" title. The duo, along with 25 bachelors, began filming on 12 March, and according to blogger Reality Steve, Bristowe has already been chosen as the 2015 Bachelorette.
However, this does not mean Nilsson will be sent home. The infamous blogger revealed that season 11 of "The Bachelorette" will have a new format that will enable Nilsson to stick around. It is not yet known what role she will play as Bristowe continue on her journey to find a partner.
Season 11 of "The Bachelorette" will reportedly air on 18 May.
