"The Bachelor" star Caila Quinn, who was initially rumoured to be "The Bachelorette" for Season 12, has decided to make a fresh start in New York City.
Quinn, a software sales representative, was reportedly left disheartened after Bachelor Nation producers had a last-minute change of heart and went with JoJo Fletcher as the next "Bachelorette." Now, she is ready to move on from "The Bachelor" and Ben Higgins.
According to Us Weekly, the Ohio native is hopeful that a change of scenery will help her find love. "She already had a job lined up [in New York City], and she is so excited!" a source told the media outlet. "She's really focused on that right now and just happy about this new start in a new city. Caila is excited and hopeful about the possibility of finding love in New York," the source added.
Quinn's move is similar to what "The Bachelorette" season 10 contestant Andi Dorfman did after her stint on the dating reality show. Dorfman too packed her bags and moved to New York City shortly after calling it quits with her fiancé Josh Murray. However, she hasn't been successful in finding love, and told Page Six that New York City might not be the best place to find a partner.
"My girlfriends always tell me that the dating game is just insane here [in New York]," Dorfman explained, adding: "Women in this city are ambitious and they go after what they want and that bleeds over to the dating world."
Interestingly, Quinn and Dorfman are friends and the Bachelor Nations even met up last week. Taking to her Instagram account, Quinn posted a picture of her standing with Dorfman and captioned it saying: "Throwin' it back to meeting this beautiful babe. Congrats on the book- out 2 months from today #eastcoastgirls."
