Rumours are rife that "The Bachelor" Season 20 couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, who got engaged on the dating reality show, could soon be splitting up. Bushnell has been feeling insecure in her relationship with Higgins ever since she came to know that he had professed his love for JoJo Fletcher too, during his stint on the ABC show, reports Life & Style.
Although Bushnell tried to make peace with the fact that he finally chose her, she is apparently bothered that Ben told another girl that he loved her. "Lauren tries not to think about it," a source told Life & Style, according to HollywoodLife. "But she's traumatised that Ben told another girl he loved her. Everyone around them can feel the awkwardness. It's unclear if they will last. Things between them are getting worse."
Another cause for concern, says the publication, is Higgins' apparent closeness to his ex-girlfriend, with whom he has reportedly become close in the past year. "Ben values his ex's opinion on things," another source told Life and Style. "After breaking up, they would catch up here and there, but they got closer in the past year. Even when Ben got engaged to Lauren, that didn't stop them from talking."
However, according to their Instagram accounts, both Higgins and Bushnell are having a good time together and there seems to be no sign of tension between the couple. Their accounts are filled with photos of them kissing and cuddling.
Higgins had told E!News March 16 that they are looking at a late 2016 or an early 2017 wedding date. "I don't want to rush is to the point where it's stressful, but I also don't want to wait too long," he said.
