Chad Johnson was the highlight of the Season 3 premiere of "Bachelor in Paradise," but now that he is no longer participating in the dating reality show, the focus has shifted towards the alleged fight between Josh Murray and Nick Viall and their romance with Amanda Stanton.
Stanton, who is a single mom, recently took to her blog to clear the air about the alleged romantic triangle she is a part of, and said everything is not as it seems. Apparently, Josh did not steal "Nick's girl" as Nick was more interested in getting to know Jen Saviano.
"I had met Nick a few times before going on 'Bachelor in Paradise,'" Stanton wrote in a blog post. "He told me he was considering going because he was interested in getting to know Jen Saviano (also from Ben's season and a friend of mine.)"
"I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a BIG crush on Nick going into paradise," she continued, "but I knew how interested he was in Jen. [...] I was pretty shocked when he asked me on a date."
She also added that her one-on-one date with Viall wasn't as great as the show portrayed, as the duo lacked the spark needed to take the romance forward. "We had good conversation," she said. "We kissed. But there weren't those 'sparks' like I was hoping for. [...] I almost felt like he was holding back because he knew he was waiting for Jen to arrive and didn't want to lead me on."
Stanton also added that she would never intentionally hurt Viall and go on a date with other men if he hadn't made it clear that he too wanted to date other people.
According to "Bachelor in Paradise" spoiler guru Reality Steve, Amanda is currently engaged to Murray, and rumours are rife that their wedding will be featured in the Season 3 finale.
"Bachelor in Paradise" airs Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC.
