Season 19 of "The Bachelor" will kick off on 5 January with Chris Soules as the main attraction, and the farmer from Iowa will meet and greet 30 contestants on the premiere night as he embarks on a journey to find love.
The premiere will be a three-hour special, and according to Reality Steve, the first episode is more-or-less similar to the previous seasons. And like the previous seasons, there's going to be a lot of drama in the first episode as well.
For instance, Sports Fishing Enthusiast Tara Eddings will turn up drunk in the first episode. While all the other contestants are in cocktail dresses, Eddings gets out of the limo in a flannel tank top, cut-off shorts, and cowboy boots, according to Reality Steve. "Obviously I'm not in a cocktail dress, this is me," she says, before realising it was a mistake not dressing up. She soon puts on a cocktail dress and says, "You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl."
According to spoilers, Soules is not too happy with the drunk contestant. Eddings almost falls off the podium during the Rose Ceremony, which irks Soules, who immediately walks off.
"I was going to pick her, but Tara's wasted-drunk," Soules tells host Chris Harrison.
It is not yet known how long Eddings will last in the season, but speculations are rife she'll be among the eight girls who will leave the show at the end of the first episode.
Meanwhile, fans will also get to see a number of make-out sessions in the premiere, as a promo shows Soules kissing more than one girl. Whitney Bischoff, a 29-year-old fertility clinic nurse, floors Soules immediately after her arrival saying, "There have been great guys before you, but I wouldn't be here if it wasn't you."
Another contestant who appears to have taken Soules' fancy is Ashley Iaconetti, who tells the Bachelor, "I'm so glad it's you."
