Baby panda bears filmed sunbathing and learning to climb
Panda cubs in Chinas Chengdu research reserve have been filmed enjoying sunbathing and learning to walk, climb and sit up. The footage, filmed over a three week period from the start of September, is from a unique video project called iPanda.com which films the rare bears on multiple cameras 24 hours a day. The bears are seen attempting to climb and and sit without support from the researchers on the reserve. The base opened in 1987 with six giant pandas from the wild. A successful breeding campaign means it is now home to more than 150 bears.
