Photographers boycotted politician Baba Siddiqui's famous iftaar party this time and it's not because of Salman Khan.
Like every year, Siddiqui hosted an iftaar party for Bollywood celebrities and biggies from the political world. For the past two years, his iftaar party has made headlines because of Salman and Shah Rukh Khan.
But this year, the party made it to headlines due to the paparazzi boycotting the event. Apparently, there were no proper arrangements for media to cover the event, which was held at Taj Lands near Bandra in Mumbai on Sunday evening.
A small barricade was arranged for paparazzi to take photos, which was enough to accommodate just 20 people. But when the news of Salman attending the party spread, the number of photographers and videographers increased.
"At 7.20 pm, with all the pushing and shoving going on, the barricade collapsed. Two photographers, Pradeep Das and Vinod Kumar Singh, are seriously injured and four others sustained minor injuries," Mumbai Mirror quoted photographer Satish Malavade as saying.
"Baba Siddiqui had been intimated about the poor arrangements before the accident but he showed little interest. When the media began to leave, his publicist informed that they had their own photographer to cover the event. After this, the aggrieved lensers decided to boycott the event and went back en masse."
Photographers left the event without clicking a single picture of Salman with his family and other Bollywood stars.
