There were rumours that Rana Daggubati would be teaming up with Mohanlal for a Malayalam flick. But the Baahubali star has denied the rumours.
Reacting to such reports, Rana Daggubati tweeted, "This is news to me :)! What film is this ???/ [sic]" In his next post, he pointed out that it will be an honour to work with the Malayalam superstar.
It was earlier reported that Rana Daggubati was all set to make his Malayalam debut in an important role in Major Ravi's next film, which is reportedly titled as 1971, Beyond Borders.
Mohanlal is said to be playing the role named Major Mahadevan in Beyond Borders and rumours were rife that Rana Daggubati would be seen as an army officer. With now the Baahubali star giving a clarification, speculations about his Malayalam debut have been put to rest.
However, Rana Daggubati has a few projects in his hands that keep him busy for the next 12 months. He has wrapped up the shooting of mega-budget film Baahubali – The Conclusion and will soon make his Kollywood debut with Madai Thiranthu. He is also starring in the Bollywood film Ghazi, which has KK Menon, Atul Kulkarni and Taapsee in the key roles.
It is also said that he might feature in Bala's multi-starrer film. But there is no confirmation on it.
