Ace director SS Rajamouli has revealed that he will unveil actress Anushka Shetty as Devasena in his upcoming magnum opus "Baahubali" on Wednesday, 6 May.
SS Rajamouli released two posters of "Baahubali" on 1 and 4 May featuring a child and rebel star Prabhas respectively. The two posters not only got an overwhelming response from film buffs, but also took the craze for the movie to a new height. On 5 May, the director took to his Twitter handle to reveal that he would release another poster, this time of Anushka Shetty.
The "Baahubali" director tweeted: "Thanks again for the awesome response. Most of you might already have known that Anushka is the heroine of Baahubali Part 2..But in this First part of #Baahubali, The Beginning, she appears briefly in a completely different avatar... NextUp.. #Devasena on 6th May #LiveTheEpic."
"Baahubali" is a two-part Indian epic film, which is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Tamil. Anushka Shetty has been roped in to play the heroine, while Prabhas appears as the hero. The actress has apparently worked hard for the movie, practicing sword fighting with Prabhas and Rana.
The makers of "Baahubali" have kept the story and the details of Anushka Shetty's role under wraps. If we are to go by speculative reports, the actress would be seen as a pregnant woman in few sequences in the second part of the film. Prabhas' character will end in "Baahubali Part 1" and he will be born again to Anushka in "Baahubali Part 2", reports Deccan Chronicle.
Tamannaah will play the female lead opposite Prabhas in "Baahubali Part 2". Rana Daggubati's part will end in "Baahubali Part 1". Adivi Sesh, who appears as Rana's son, will fight with Prabhas in the movie, which also features Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep in crucial roles.
