KV Vijayendra Prasad, father of SS Rajamouli, is getting ready to make his directorial comeback. The writer and filmmaker will reportedly work with Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar for the first time.
A report on Behindwoods claims Puneeth Rajkumar will join hands with KV Vijayendra Prasad in his next project. Other details about the project are under wraps. The director's last movie was the Telugu period flick "Rajanna," which starred Nagarjuna and Sneha.
KV Vijayendra Prasad has penned screenplays for many films, including those of his son SS Rajamouli. "Samarasimha Reddy," "Simhadri," "Chatrapathi," "Vikramarkudu" and "Magadheera" were some of his more popular works in Telugu.
In recent years, he had written the story for "Baahubali" and the Bollywood movie "Bajrangi Bhaijaan."
KV Vijayendra Prasad is not new to Sandalwood: He has penned screenplays for many Kannada movies, including "Appaji" and "Pandu Ranga Vittala." He has also written the story for "Jaguar," the debut movie of Nikhil Kumar, son of former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.
It is interesting to note KV Vijayendra Prasad's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was first offered to Puneeth Rajkumar by producer Rockline Venkatesh. But the Powerstar could not take up the flick for some reasons.
Meanwhile, Puneeth Rajkumar is busy with M Saravanan's "Chakravyuha" and Suri's "Doddmane Hudga." The actor has to complete the two Kannada movies before moving on to KV Vijayendra Prasad's project.
