"Baahubali" creator SS Rajamouli is the latest celebrity to praise Jayam Ravi's "Thani Oruvan". The filmmaker saw the movie recently and took to Twitter to appreciate the film.
"Very late but saw Thani oruvan..Aravind swami was so good. He nailed it. Heard hip hop thamizha are 2 youngsters. Great bg score. Could seethat a lot of smart work went into the making of the film. Keep it up raja. It is against the formula so success must've been even sweeter," SS Rajamouli tweeted.
SS Rajamouli's good words may not benefit the fortunes of "Thani Oruvan" at the box office. But it will certainly boost its Telugu remake which will star Ram Charan Teja.
"Thani Oruvan" is one of the biggest hits of 2015 in Kollywood. It is considered a superhit as people had not expected much from the flick. Post release, it became the talk of the town and in 10 days alone, it grossed Rs 40 crore. The worldwide collection of the movie has crossed over Rs 105 crore, say reports.
The movie directed by Jayam Raja has Arvind Swamy and Nayantara in the lead roles. Meanwhile, there are reports that Salman Khan has refused to star in the Hindi remake of "Thani Oruvan". Even though the actor liked the subject, he could not take up due to other commitments.
Jayam Ravi's 'Miruthan' first look out
The first look of Jayam Ravi's "Miruthan" was released on 10 November on the occasion of Diwali. The Shakti Sundar Rajan directorial has Lakshmi Menon playing the female lead role.
"Miruthan" revolves around zombies, as indicated by the first look.
