With the upcoming Telugu films "Manamantha" and "Janatha Garage," superstar Mohanlal is all set to make his grand entry in Tollywood. The actor, who enjoys a huge fan following in Kerala, is also expected to be well accepted by the Telugu audience with his performance in the Chandra Shekhar Yeleti and Koratala Siva-directed movies.
After the teaser of the multi-lingual movie "Manamantha" was released on Saturday, June 25, filmmaker SS Rajamouli is all praise for the association between Chandra Sekhar and the production house, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram. Calling the teaser as promising, interesting as well as intriguing, the director has also thanked the makers for introducing Mohanlal, whom he admires a lot, to the Telugu industry. The "Baahubali - The Beginning" director seems to be very excited about the project as he has also requested the makers through his latest Facebook post to reveal the release date of the Mohanlal-starrer.

"Combination of Chandu & Vaaraahi is promising, interesting and intriguing. Been waiting for long and can't any longer..Thank you both for bringing an actor I admire so much, Mohanlal garu to Telugu...Release date please.....:) [sic]," Rajamouli wrote while sharing the official teaser of "Manamantha."
Earlier rumours had it that Rajamouli would cast Mohanlal in his big-budget movie, "Garuda." However, the filmmaker had then slammed the rumours claiming he hadn't even finalised the plot nor the cast and crew of the film. "Mohanlal is one of the fantastic actors in the country. I would love to work with him," the National Film Award-winning director had said. The filmmaker is currently busy with the shooting of his magnum opus "Baahubali - The Conclusion," the sequel of the blockbuster movie, which also bagged the National Film Award for Best Feature Film 2015.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal's upcoming multi-lingual family entertainer is being titled "Vismayam" in Malayalam and "Namadhu" in Tamil. The one-minute 11-second teaser features the superstar along with Gauthami, Viswant, Raina Rao and Anisha Ambrose. The movie is expected to hit the screens in July, becoming the first release of the superstar in 2016.
Apart from "Manamantha," Mohanlal also has Koratala Siva's most anticipated film "Janatha Garage" in his kitty. The movie also stars Junior NTR, Rahman, Unni Mukundan in significant roles. The director has recently revealed that its official trailer will be out on July 6. The action thriller, made on a whopping budget of over Rs. 50 crore, is scheduled to hit the screens on August 12.
