The general trend is that a film's business sees a 60-70% dip post-first weekend. But in case of "Baahubali", it is different. SS Rajamouli's film has managed to retain 60% of business. The film has approximately earned Rs 3.70 and Rs 3.3 crore on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. In the opening weekend, it made above Rs 5 crore each day (3 days).
"Baahubali" is distributed by K Gnanavel Raja in the state. It is likely to emerge as the biggest non-Tamil box office hit in the state. Earlier, Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan's dubbed films had made reasonable business. SS Rajamouli's previous film "Naan Ee" ("Eega") had made above Rs 20 crore and this record is expected to be broken by this latest flick.
The success of the movie is mainly due to large scale promotions and good word-of-mouth. It is doing great business in all the versions (Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam).
