Director SS Rajamouli has finally completed the shooting of climax sequence for "Baahubali (Bahubali) 2," starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati and announced one-week holiday for the film unit.
The team of "Baahubali 2" had tough time shooting for the climax sequences on the last day of this schedule as rain played a spoilsport. Director SS Rajamouli posted a video on his Twitter handle on Tuesday and wrote: "Last day of war and rain plays spoil sport. Unit decides to utilise it for cricket.."
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda confirmed that the team has wrapped the climax of "Baahubali 2" as per the schedule and they are taking a break for a week before starting the next schedule. He tweeted: "Climax of @BaahubaliMovie 2 is completed as scheduled! A well deserved break for the unit till Sept 6th."
The team had done 40 percent of the shoot for "Baahubali 2," before the release of "Baahubali: The Beginning." The filming for the rest of the portions began in Oct, 2015, four months after the release of the first installment in the "Baahubali" series. The team has shot most of these portions in the special-erected sets in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
The climax of "Baahubali 2" will feature a massive war sequence and the team has worked on this sequence for over 11 weeks (over 80 days). Shobu Yarlagadda had tweeted on Aug 16: "We are in the 10th week of @BaahubaliMovie climax shooting and right on schedule! Fingers crossed and moving along.. More updates soon!"
"Baahubali 2" will reportedly feature lot of special effects and makers are shelling out a hefty sum on them. RC Kamalakannan, the founder of Makuta VFX, is Supervising VFX works of the historical movie, which is scheduled to be released in cinema halls around the world on April 28, 2016.
