Ace director SS Rajamouli, who is currently busy with the pre-production works of "Baahubali 2" (Bahubali), has confirmed the news about the third instalment in the "Baahubali" series.
It was rumoured that SS Rajamouli has planned to continue the saga of "Baahubali" and third instalment is on the cards. On Saturday, the director took to his Twitter page and confirmed the news. He said that he would reveal the details of the project at an appropriate time.
The "Baahubali" helmer tweeted, "Many rumours on Baahubali-3..:) The story will conclude with part-2. No dragging..but the world of Baahubali will continue in a way that's Been never experienced before ever. Will reveal the details when appropriate. don't believe the rumours. Only I know what's going to come..:)"
Later along with his father KV Vijayendra Prasad, SS Rajamouli attended an interview with TV9 Telugu channel on Saturday. The director admitted his plans for "Baahubali 3", when quizzed about the rumours about the instalment. You can click the below mentioned video hear his statement.
But instead of clearing the air, the director's comment created more confusion among the masses. Even some media houses took him wrongly and reported that he did not have plans for third instalment. SS Rajamouli, who was shocked to read these reports on Sunday morning, once again took to his Twitter and offered an apology for the confusion and confirmed that "Baahubali" 3 is on cards.
The director tweeted, "Looks Like I created more confusion instead of giving clarity..apologies.. Baahubali-3 is on cards... But the story that's written for the Two parts will not be dragged for the sake of it. This story will conclude with the second part itself. Baahubali-3 will be done in a way that audience have never experienced films before. Hope that clarifies.."
Initially, SS Rajamouli had planned to do "Baahubali" as a single part movie with a whopping budget of Rs 100+ crore. But as he went on shooting the film, its length and budget increased to 4.5 hours and Rs 250 crore respectively. So he decided to release it in two parts as "Baahubali: The Beginning" and "Baahubali: The Conclusion".
Released in theatres on 10 July, "Baahubali: The Beginning" has done superb collection at the worldwide box office and became all time highest grosser Indian movie. It has also won lot of laurels to the film unit. Seeing this huge response, the director has now planned to continue this saga.
