Baahubali 2 (Bahubali 2) 1st day worldwide box office collection: Prabhas-starrer gross Rs 212 crore, check areas-wise business

SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (Bahubali: The Conclusion) received an overwhelming opening and recorded a collection beyond the mark of Rs 200 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day.

Baahubali 2 received a superb amount of hype, promotion and advance booking even before its release across the world. Few could have imagined the magnitude of its opening day business, but IBTimes India did predict that the SS Rajamoul-directed epic historical fictional movie would surpass the mark of Rs 200 crore gross at the worldwide box office. The prediction turned true.

The Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer movie, which was released in over 8,000 screens across the globe on April 28, registered 100 percent advance booking in many centres. Baahubali 2 was premiered in over 3,000 screens around the world on Thursday and it ran to packed houses everywhere. The film also registered 100 percent occupancy in almost all the screens on its opening day.

The Shobu Yarlagadda produced movie has collected Rs 58 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T), Rs 19.50 crore in Karnataka, Rs 11 crore in Tamil Nadu, Rs 6 crore in Kerala, Rs 58.10 crore in other parts of India, Rs 30 crore in the USA, Rs 16 crore in the UAE, Rs 14 crore in other international markets on its first day.

Baahubali 2 has collected a total of Rs 212.60 crore gross from its Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam versions at the worldwide box office on the first day. The movies has become the biggest opener Indian film in all the areas except Tamil Nadu, where the morning shows were cancelled due to some financial issues.
