The difference between the collections of Baahubali 2 and Dangal has been reducing each day. Now, the Aamir Khan-starrer is likely to surpass the business of SS Rajamouli's film this weekend.
As per trade reports, Baahubali 2 has almost reached the Rs 1,600 crore mark. The movie is expected to enjoy a good viewership in its fifth weekend too. On the other hand, the gross collection of Dangal has crossed the Rs 1,560 crore mark and the difference between the two films is less than Rs 35 crore.
Trade experts are of the opinion that Dangal may surpass the business of Baahubali 2 this weekend. Aamir Khan's film has been overwhelmingly received by the China audience. The movie has made over Rs 750 crore in this part of the world.
However, Dangal may not remain on top as Baahubali 2 is yet to enter the China market. The makers are planning to release the film here soon though the date is not finalised yet.
Trade experts say that Baahubali 2, which hit the screens in India on April 28, could again return to the numero uno position if the movie gets positive reviews.
Nonetheless, Baahubali 2 and Dangal, which was released on December 23, have become the landmark movies of Indian film industry. The films have not only struck gold in India, but across the world.
"I am really happy that Dangal is getting appreciated in China and all over the world. I don't think we should compare two films. Dangal and Baahubali 2 are good in their own space and above all both films are Indian films which are making its mark all over the world. I am very proud of Baahubali as well," Aamir Khan recently said.
The actor has heard a lot of good things about Baahubali 2, but he has not watched the movie yet. He also congratulated SS Rajamouli for the massive success of the movie.
