Scriptwriter Vijayendra Prasad, who penned the script for "Baahubali" (Bahubali), has revealed that actress Anushka Shetty will take centre stage in SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali: The Conclusion".
Anushka Shetty played the role of Maharani Devasena in the epic historical fiction film "Baahubali", which consists of two parts. But she had very limited screen presence and a few dialogues in "Baahubali: The Beginning", which featured her as an old lady in exile.
A lot has been speculated and debated about the story of "Baahubali: The Conclusion". Especially, the question why Kattappa killed "Baahubali" has created a lot of buzz on social media. But the makers are tight lipped about its story and are quietly enjoying the speculation.
Recently, SS Rajamouli's father Vijayendra Prasad spoke about "Baahubali 2" and said that the story will be taken to a new level in the second part and it revolves around the role of Anushka Shetty.
"It is going to be far more dramatic than the first part. Anushka Shetty's character of the queen in exile will take centre stage. The plot points from the first part will be taken to a new level so that the audience doesn't feel like they are watching a repeat performance," the writer told Deccan Chronicle.
The makers are all set to kick-start the shooting for "Baahubali: The Conclusion" in December with plan to release it by the end of 2016. SS Rajamouli is currently busy with its pre-production works. He is reportedly busy casting some Bollywood actors following the huge response for the Hindi version of "Baahubali: The Beginning".
It was being rumoured that Madhuri Dixit was roped in for "Baahubali 2", but Vijayendra Prasad brushed aside the reports. "We have no idea where this came from. The thought of casting her hasn't even entered our minds. It seems those who write media stories have more fertile imaginations than screenwriters," DC quoted the writer as saying.
