SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (Baahubali: The Conclusion) has received overwhelming response from global audience, who waited for nearly two years for the second part of the Baahubali franchise to hit the theatres.
Such is the craze for the movie that it has shattered domestic box office collection record of all-time on the first day itself. The multi-lingual movie that was released in four languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam in over 6,700 screens in 4,800 locations in India, crossed Rs 100 crore mark (approximately) at the Indian box office on its opening day. Its worldwide gross total is Rs 201 crore (approximately).
Trade analysts are bowled over with the massive box office collection and are terming it as "unimaginable" and "unthinkable." It's a record which would take a long time to beat they said.
The morning and matinee shows were houseful in almost all the theatres across the country, while its business scaled up towards the evening shows. With such humongous collection, no wonder Baahubali 2, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah, will break more box office records and set new benchmarks.
Meanwhile, Twitterati is going crazy with the terrific business of the film on its first day. Many posted funny memes on twitter. Take a look.
