However, Baahubali 2 has hit a roadblock in Kerala due to issues between the movie's Kerala distributors Global United Media and multiplexes. The spokesperson at GUM had earlier told International Business Times India that talks are on and they might resolve the issue soon. But the final theatre list released by the company clearly indicates that the problems are not resolved yet as the multiplexes, including PVR, Cinepolis, Cinemax have not been included in it, while the movie is being screened at Pan Cinemas and Q Cinemas in Kochi.
With no release at multiplexes, the collection of Prabhas-starrer is likely to be affected as multiplexes often give more revenue as a movie will have nearly 6 shows, which is far more than single screens. Nevertheless, it is evident that the big-budget entertainer will set number of records from the opening day onwards.
Baahubali 2 is sure to break all the existing first day collection records across the country and in Kerala, the SS Rajamouli directorial is expected to cross the opening day record set by Mammootty's The Great Father, which earned Rs 4.31 crore from 202 screens on its first day of theatrical run. Crossing the mark doesn't look like a challenging task for the multi-lingual film as its Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions are being screened in almost 300 screens all over the state.
