SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (Bahubali 2) has become the first ever Hindi movie to have crossed Rs 500 crore nett at the Indian box office. Baahubali 2 has achieved the feat after 34 days of its release.
Starring Prabhas among others, Baahubali 2 has been breaking box office records from its opening day. The Hindi version of the movie has been the most successful as compared to the other languages. After becoming the first Indian movie to have crossed Rs 400 crore nett, Baahubali 2 Hindi collection has now crossed Rs 500 crore nett.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on Twitter saying, "#Baahubali2 Rs 500 cr, NOT OUT...Continues its HEROIC RUN...HIGHEST GROSSER EVER...Hindi. India biz #BB2StormAt500cr". Baahubali 2 Hindi has been extremely successful not just in India, but also in overseas market.
At the end of its 34th day at the Indian box office, Baahubali 2 Hindi's collection stands at Rs 500.13 crore nett. "#Baahubali2 [Week 5] Fri 1.56 cr, Sat 2.25 cr, Sun 3.16 cr, Mon 1.34 cr, Tue 1.22 cr, Wed 1.20 cr. Total: Rs 500.13 cr Nett. Hindi, India biz," Adarsh said in another tweet.
While the nett domestic collection of Baahubali 2 Hindi has crossed Rs 500 crore mark, gross collection of the movie stands at around Rs 700 crore. Having released on April 28, a number of other Bollywood movies has had released after that. However, Baahubali 2 continued to keep its strong hold at the box office even after a month of its release.

The overwhelming performance of Baahubali 2 can be assessed by the number of days it took to break different records. The movie crossed Rs 100 crore in 3 days, Rs 200 crore in 6 days, Rs 300 crore in 10 days, Rs 400 crore in 15 days, Rs 450 in 20 days, and Rs 500 crore in 34 days.
Baahubali 2 is still running quite well in many theatres across the country. The spledid success of the Hindi version of the movie made Karan Johar, distributor of the movie, very happy.
