Baahubali: The Conclusion, the much-awaited fantasy thriller, has been witnessing a stupendous response from the audience across the globe since April 27. The movie was screened in a record number of screens worldwide and is estimated to have earned approximately Rs 200 crore from previews, fan shows and all other screenings worldwide.

In the South Indian state of Kerala alone, the magnum-opus SS Rajamouli directorial was released in a record 320 screens on the opening day with maximum houseful shows. It is understood that the film has cashed in approximately Rs 4.5 crore at the Kerala box office, and if the news turns out to be true, the multi-lingual movie has broken the records of Mammootty's The Great Father, which had earned Rs 4.31 crore on the first day in the state.

Kochi multiplexes
Baahubali 2 was only screened at two multiplexes till evening due to the issues on share between the theatre owners and distribution company Global United Media. The issues were resolved only in the evening, and the screenings commenced only at 4 pm. It has to be noted that out of the 45 shows at six multiplexes, 44 shows had 100 percent occupancy.
The Prabhas, Anuskha Shetty, Rana Daggubati-starrer made an approximate collection of Rs 13.79 lakh on day one from all the multiplexes with an average 99.85 percent theatre occupancy. The highest amount the film could collect was from Q Cinemas, where it had a total of 15 shows and earned Rs 5.67 lakh. It was followed by Pan Cinemas from where the sequel made a business of Rs 2.12 lakh from eight shows.

From Ariesplex Trivandrum, Baahubali 2 minted a total gross amount of Rs 10.41 lakh after screening 14 houseful shows. All the tickets for the Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu versions of the epic movie were sold out two days before its theatrical release owing to the fabulous hype around the film.

Carnival Cinemas
From 71 shows (63 houseful) at six theatres of Carnival Cinemas in Muvattupuzha, Thalayolaparambu, Kollam, Angamaly, Karunagapally and Kodungallur in Kerala, Baahubali 2 raked in a total of Rs 17.04 lakh on the day one with an average theatre occupancy of 99.62 percent.

SN Theatre Haripad
Baahubali 2 had 12 houseful shows at SN Theatre in Haripad, and it raked in a gross collection of Rs 2,60,400 lakh on the first day of the theatrical run.
Meanwhile, after record number of early morning fan shows, the sequel of Baahubali: The Beginning also has a record number of midnight shows in Kerala. The second day also started with good number of early morning shows for the big budget entertainer in the state, and is set to become the highest grossing movie in the state by collecting a good amount during the long weekend.
